Bristol Palin and The Media Wolves

I couldn't help but post this from Sarah Palin Tundra.  The trash the MSM continuously spews each day about the Palins reached new lows. Never has there been a time where so many women in our world, in such a short amount of time, have been treated with such degradation by the media. Think of the prominent women we read about day after day, and how many are facing this onslaught of media sewage?  From Hillary Clinton to Bristol Palin, women seem fair game for the wolves.

Bristol Palin: What Would We Have Her Do?

There aren't to many families that escape embarrassment over a son or daughters actions. Granted, some glide through childhood and their teenage years without causing any issues to speak of for the parents.  But as we know or may learn, it happens to the best of families.  The lack of compassion many Americans and the Media have given to the Palin family is unforgivable.  Bristol Palin has now made a statement concerning the pregnancy, and discourages teen pregnancy.  What else would we have her do?  Could this possibly be a case of being the one to "cast the first stone"?  Consider this as well:  A young lady of 18 is pregnant, she decides to "keep the pregnancy", and her mother is running for national office. Is it any wonder that it was her best interest to pick up that last credit by correspondence?

The media has gone after this young girl at every turn treating her with a style that is almost Puritanical in nature.  It brings to mind the characters in Madame Bovary and the Scarlet Letter The hypocrisy of the media is disgusting considering we have some former teen drug users, and those with a DUI that have gone on to serve in the highest of offices...TRedwine

Recent Article On Statement Of Gov. Palin and Bristol:

Palin welcomes grandson, daughter discourages teen pregnancy

WASHINGTON (AFP) — Alaska Governor and former Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin welcomed her first grandchild Tuesday and admitted she felt fear and despair when she first learned her teenage daughter Bristol was expecting.

"We are over the moon with the arrival of this healthy, beautiful baby," Palin said in a statement dated December 31 and posted Friday on the website of the governor of Alaska.

Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston was born to Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston on December 27.

"The road ahead for this young couple will not be easy, but nothing worthwhile is ever easy," the statement by the newborn's governor-grandmother said.

Bristol Palin's teen pregnancy was revealed shortly after her mother was confirmed as John McCain's running mate in August, and quickly became a campaign talking point.

Sarah Palin, a devout Christian who is vehemently opposed to abortion, always put a positive spin on her daughter's pregnancy, but in the statement issued this week, she admitted to feeling fear and despair on learning that she was to become a grandmother.

"When Bristol and Levi first told us the shocking news that she was pregnant, to be honest, we all at first looked at the situation with some fear and a bit of despair," Palin said in the statement. continued
