Remember Burt Bacharach and "Promises, Promises" ?
Promises, promises I'm all through with promises, promises now I don't know how I got the nerve to walk out If I shout, remember I feel free Now I can look at myself and be proud I'm laughing out loud.....
Anyways, it seems that Reuters News is doing its darndest to lower the expectations for King "O" as he heads into office. Not that we look for failure, it would be too devastating for all of us. But you can't help and smile a little that the extreme-far left wing of the democratic party is already angered, along with Hamas leaders. Afterall, they were looking for some big change, and so far they have seen more of the same-o from President-Select "O". It doesn't seem one can have it both ways-not even Obama. He promised a lot, and there are a lot of starving liberal mouths to feed in Congress...TRedwine

Reuters ran a little flak for Barack Obama trying to help dull the outrageous expectations placed on The One by his irrationally exuberant adherents in theirs headlined "Congress faces historic challenges" -- As if no other Congress has faced "historic challenges" before? Reuters assures us, though, that times are so bad that we should not expect Obama to live up to any of his outlandish promises. This way, of course, if Obama reneges on them, the Old Media can remind everyone that it’s really our fault for expecting too much, not Obama's for reneging.
"The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go
outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens,
nature and the Divine. Because only then does one feel that all is as it
should be and that the Divine wishes to see people happy, amidst the
simple beauty of nature."
Edna St. Vincent Millay
My candle burns at both ends;
It will not last the night;
But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends—
It gives a lovely light!
