“When governments fear the people there is liberty. When the people fear the government there is tyranny."; - Thomas Jefferson
On August 16, 1971, John Dean sent a memo to Lawrence Higby explaining the purpose of the Nixon White House "Political Opponents List". Dean clearly stated in this memo: "This memorandum addresses the matter of how we can maximize the fact of our incumbency in dealing with persons known to be active in their opposition to our Administration; stated a bit more bluntly—how we can use the available federal machinery to screw our political enemies." end quote~
This Nixon "Enemies List" started with 30 names including Ted Kennedy, Paul Newman, and Barbara Streisand. The list ended up being 30,000 names in length with some of the names handed over to the IRS.
We have actually seen the White House website requesting the names and addresses of those people who voice dissent on Obamacare. The lists are illegal. When Nixon solicited the same information, the Supreme Court found it unconstitutional to compile such a database.
The White House will have to reveal this list. They have violated the law. They can not destroy the "fishy list".
Remember poor Rosemary Woods?
