This past year has certainly been a strange one for me. It reminds me of a Rumi poem.
I reach for a piece of wood it turns into a lute.
I do some meanness. It turns out helpful.
I say one must not travel during the holy month.
Then I start out and wonderful things happen.
It never would have crossed my mind back in January that I would become totally immersed in politics. Politics! Why, I have not given it much more than a cursory view in many long years.
After all, I am focusing on my spiritual growth and development; going to kirtan, meditating, reading sacred scripture…I mean St Theresa of Avila is my guiding light. The ministry is my calling.
But, that Hillary Clinton woman decided to run for POTUS and even though I, at first, supported another contender, the deciding moment for me came when Ted Kennedypompously stated that it was time to pass the torch to a new generation.
I, the sacred, loving, peaceful soul, went through the roof. Yes, he blew the top of my head off. Right, Teddy, I thought, no, I shouted, hopefully loud enough for him to hear in that big Senate office he has occupied for 40 years; right about the time a woman is about to get her hands on that torch, it’s time to pass it on? Why don’t you and the rest of those ancient white men in the Senate pass their torches on…like now, baby.
So, I left my soldier for God persona and became a soldier for Hillary. I donated money to a campaign for the first time in my life; I made phone calls; I organized a grassroots Hillary supporters group; I organized honk and waves; handed out literature; waved signs; cheered and cried and laughed.
Every waking moment that my job or normal life routine was not interfering with my Hillary consciousness, I was working and focusing on electing Hillary President. When my, former, spiritual friends inquired into my whereabouts, I simply told them that electing Hillary Clinton for President was my spiritual practice. And it was.
It is amazing how focused I became. How I responded unflinchingly to whatever was presented to me. No need to think or plan or wonder, just do what needs to be done in the present moment. God has his ways with me....
My incredible focus became really apparent to me when I went to Denver . Yep, I made it to Denver , too. Not as an official delegate, but as a Hillary supporter, marcher, sign-bearer, a representative of her supporters, a Hillary presence. Nothing deterred me from focusing on Hillary. Not even that incredibly beautiful amazing Art Museum with free attendance on Wednesday. Nope, sorry, not why I came to Denver . I came to represent Hillary and that is what I did. Hey, I’m world famous…the international press was as hungry for Hillary as I was hungry to share my passion.
After the convention, there was no question in my mind what my next move would be. It was on to work for the McCain/Palin ticket. I had already announced that if Hillary did not get the nomination I would do everything in my power to defeat the fraud, usurper, sexist, selected-not-elected candidate.
A whole new world of people, actions, phone calling opened up. I admit I was growing weary, but my focus was unwavering. I think Sarah Palin is just what this country needs.
After November 4, it became obvious the work was not yet done. Now, I continue on working with others to protect our constitution and keep the usurper out of office. I have no clue what the next step will be. I am still integrating the past year of political/spiritual experiences. As Rumi says so simply, we don't really know what it's all about until after it happens ,and then it's questionable.
I want to wish everyone who has touched me in any way this year, and all those I have touched, whether on the blogs, on the phone, through an email, or in person, a new year full of good tidings and fortunate outcomes. And I will leave you with a political message and a spiritual video. God Bless!
"The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil constitution are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men."
-- Samuel Adams
A Good Day: Be Grateful!

Challenge, can anyone prove this wrong?:–
1. Constitution Article II requires USA President to be “natural born citizen”.
2. BHO’s website admits his dad was Kenyan/British, not American, citizen when BHO was born.
3. BHO is therefore not a “natural born citizen” (irrespective of Hawaiian birth or whether he may be a 14th Amendment “citizen” of USA) — as confirmed in the Senate’s own McCain qualification resolution agreed to by BHO.
4. Supreme Court has already docketed two upcoming conferences, 1/9/09 and 1/16/09 — between dates Congress counts electoral votes (1/8/09) and Presidential inauguration (1/20/09) — to address Berg Case and fashion relief on BHO’s eligibility to be President.
5. Since no facts are in dispute, Supreme Court rules on Summary Judgment to enjoin BHO’s inauguration as President.
6. Therefore, BHO is not inaugurated as President.
7. Vice President Elect Biden is inaugurated Acting President under the 20th Amendment to serve until new President is determined — the procedure for which determination to be set out by Congress and/or the Supreme Court so long as in conformance with the Constitution.

Thank you Puma for Life for holding the torch high and for shining the light of truth on the faces behind the masks that the media creates.
Thank you for using your blog to honor the fierce courage and determination shown by Hillary and Sarah who stood so strong this year against the dark ugliness hurled at them so vehemently by the media. Their resolve and resilience under fire sources all women, no matter what we face as personal challenges.
I am so grateful to you and this blog. I look forward to reading it every day.

Thank you for that Samuel Adams quote. The more I read from the Founders, the more certain I am of the deliberation with which they selected their vocabulary and phrasing. They absolutely meant what they said and said what they meant with a sober eye to the future. We should not play gingerly with their words. Too many lives have been given in their defense.

MESSAGE TO EVERY MEMBER OF CONGRESS:
When counting the electoral votes, either Congress finds by 1/8/09 that Obama, not being an Article II “natural born citizen”, fails to qualify as President whereupon Biden becomes the full fledged President under 3 USC 19 (free to pick his own VP such as Hillary) or thereafter defers to the Supreme Court to enjoin Obama’s inauguration with Biden becoming only Acting President under the 20th Amendment until a new President is duly determined.
The preferable choice, at least for the Democrats, should seem obvious.
