Well, finally someone in Alaska is starting to get the ball rolling when it comes to changing the current Alaskan Ethics Act which is being used to ensnarl Sarah Palin and her administration in a quagmire of legal actions resulting in both Palin, and the State’s Law Department, spending thousands, if not millions, of dollars, and endless amounts of time, processing and fighting an array of frivolous ethics complaints.
Kudos to the blog “As The Fire Weed Turns”. This Alaskan blogger has initiated contact with the state’s Attorney General’s office and the current plan is to find a lawyer willing to help out pro bono and then to initiate a change in the current ethics law. Right now, anyone can file any and as many complaints as they want for free; there is no cost to file the complaint and there are no repercussions if the complaint is found to be frivolous.
Here’s what is posted on the blog:
What is going to be needed to change or an amendment to the Ethics Act is for those who put in a complaint, need to sign a confidentiality clause in which they are not allowed to speak of the complaint until after it has gone thru all the proceedings concerning is. More or less these people will remain Anonymous throughout the whole time frame of the complaint. IF they speak about the complaint, the complaint will be throw out entirely (it does not matter if the claim was frivolous or not) and the person(s) who made the complaint will have to pay the State of Alaska back in entirety all fees associated with the complaint.
Also, if the complaint does turn out to be frivolous or fraudulent in anyway, the person(s) whom put in the complaint must pay back all fees associated with it.
This is excellent news for Governor Palin, as well as all of her supporters. How much you want to bet the MSM, and the Anchorage Daily News, fail to report on this activity; we wouldn’t want anyone to know that there are actually Alaskans who support Palin and are willing to fight back, now would we?
If anyone wants to help out or knows of an attorney will to help out up there in Alaska, just email: HelpingPalin@gmail.com .
And, by the way, Sarah is on the Time Magazine 100 most influential people list. Romney, Jindle, Huckabee, Pawlenty, and Crist….eat your hearts out and don’t let that green monster of envy overwhelm your massive male egos.
