Remember how global warming was melting the glaciers and this was supposed to raise sea levels and flood all the towns and cities along the coast? Well, believe it or not, the direct opposite is happening, at least in Alaska.
Yes, according to two articles, one in the illustrious New York Times and the other in the less illustrious Juneau Empire, as the glaciers melt, the land mass rises up, and the ocean recedes. It seems that when the weight from the glaciers disappears, the land springs back up something like a cushion that someone has been sitting on; when they get up, the cushion just springs back into shape.
The change is happening so fast that one property owner opened a nine-hole golf course at the mouth of Glacier Bay, on land that was underwater when his family first settled there 50 years ago. This guy’s property is rising almost three inches a year making it “the fastest-rising place in North America.” Hey, pretty soon he may sitting on top of a mountain.
Do you suppose that’s what really happened to Noah and his Ark? Maybe after he built it, it never went anywhere; the oceans receded and the land rose up and, voila, the ark sits on top of a mountain.
Mount Ararat: Noah’s Ark was here
All this goes to show you that the scientists have no clue what is going. I can get just as accurate information reading astrology magazines, consulting with psychics, and going to web pages with 2012 predictions. As a matter of fact I highly recommend Crawford 2000 for an esoteric take on “global warming’ and what’s going on heading into 2012.
Scientists actually agree with the esoteric because they are also saying we are coming to the end of an age, which means something significant, but they don’t know exactly what significant means in this case. A geologic age is defined as a time period on the geologic timescale delimited by major geologic or paleontologic events. A geologic age is a subdivision of a geologic era. (Does that make it all clear? I think I like prophecies better and the chance of prediction becoming reality seems to be just as likely with prophecy as with science).
Some scientists believe we have entered a new age that has been created by humans. They think that the human activity on this planet has actually thrust us into a significant change all, of course, couched in negativity. Well, we might give second thoughts to this hypothesis as one of their cited facts substantiating this claim is the rising sea levels linked to global warming. Whoops, better go back to the drawing board on that one.
Scientists' vision of new age: I like Mt. Ararat better
It just goes to show you that no one really knows what is going on and I personally think it is rather egotistical for humans to think they can change the climate and geology of an entire planet and universe simply by existing. Did it ever cross the big-egos who think they are so important that Mother Earth is a lot smarter than them and she could care less about just another ant species crawling around her surface? Ditto for the Great Spirit in the Sky.
Me. I think I’ll go meditate on a mountain for awhile and then read some new, cool prophecies on Crawford 2000 before going to bed. Tomorrow is another new day, I mean age.
I'm busy meditating on a mountain
