I’ve been really upset about the health care legislation being proposed for many reasons, but I am absolutely up in arms about the provisions that seem to indicate that the old folks are persona non gratis these days; and the coming old folks are me and all of us in the baby boomer generation.
You know, the ones who have been working and supporting the older generation, which has every benefit on the planet because they are “the great generation,” but spend a lot of time dissing the baby boomers, and the younger generation, who suck off mommy and daddy as long as possible in order to own all the technologically correct apparatus necessary to be considered cool without working very hard to get it.
So, this morning I go to No Quarter and read this very informative article on how gramps and granny (if you are 65 or older that’s you) are treated in Dr. Death’s health care, with a significant portion of the actual bill published. Click here to read it yourself.
This is the section on counseling people to choose death over life. You know, if you are over 65 then you’ve lived a life so get on with that death thing and let the younger generation take over. With what, you may ask. Well, the life insurance policies they all hope to get their grubby hands on, what else.
I’ve been trying to tell AARP about the rationing of healthcare stuff in this bill and the response I get back is that this is all scare tactics; presumably the old folks are easily frightened and too stupid to know fact from fiction (you know, they all have dementia).
So, after reading this stuff at No Quarter, I decided to call AARP and tell them they need to speak up on this issue and to come out against this bill. What I was told by a youngster who answered the phone, was that AARP only supported part of the bill.
I responded, well that is not good enough. They need to speak out against the parts that are damaging to their members and that the position they are taking is cowardly.
I told the youngster that I had heard that Dr. Death, aka the Obama administration, had threatened AARP and told them if they said anything negative about the bill they would not have a place at the table. I said that if this was true they needed to make that public; they needed to show some courage.
I said I will not be renewing my membership if they support this bill and do not speak up. I also told her that the baby boomers will not go quietly into the night.
The youngster was laughing at me by the time I was done; say what? This is a joke? Oh, I know, I’m one of those old geezers with dementia; we must humor them. I repeated, the baby boomers are the bulk of their membership and we will not go quietly into the night.
I may be an old geezer, but I ain't dead yet
Now, I read on Politico that there is some kind of meeting to take place on Tuesday, July 28, between the AARP and Mr. Death and dying.
So, please take a moment to call AARP and let them know the baby boomers are not going to take this crap and if they want an organization, and a job, they better speak up for their membership.

Arizona protest: we won't go quietly into the night
My Father was denied a CT SCAN, instead we were told that a bone scan was all he needed to monitor his advancing prostate cancer.
I can't believe they lied to both of our faces, and it appears, ended his life sooner rather than later, and without the time we thought we still had.
Don Imus was quoted as saying that his owbn prostate cancer had not reached his bones yet, as if to imply he was still in good shape, not without a CT scan to know exactly where the prostate cancer has advanced to can he know.

I'm so sorry to hear this about your father; so they are already rationing health care? I hope people start speaking out, not just with aarp, but also their congress members.

Alessandro, I'm so sorry to hear about your father's denial of care. Was he covered by private insurance or Medicare/Medicaid?

I'm done with AARP. This bunch of stooges are selling out their membership for what? A seat at the table where they can do more damage to seniors?

Hawker, I'm cancelling my membership today and asking for a refund of what's left of my dues. I agree with you; what good is a seat at the table if you are not speaking out for your members? What a bunch of cowards.

I never joined AARP because they came out in favor of Hillary's plan in 1994. This is an organization run by liberals and I will have no part of it. You'd better be very afraid if this passes because illegals will all get free healthcare at the expense of seniors. We're expendable in Obama's eyes and that is totally unacceptable.

We are cancelling our AARP membership.
