William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn were leaders of a radical and violent domestic terrorist organization, The Weathermen, or The Weather Underground. This group, in its ideological opposition to the Vietnam War, bombed the US Capitol Building, the US State Department Building and planted bombs in locations around the country. On February 16, 1970, a bomb placed on a window ledge of Park Station at Waller Street and Kezar Drive killed San Francisco Police Department Sgt, Brian McDonnell and injured eight other officers. Recently, an FBI informant who infiltrated The Weathermen organization came forth with a statement implicating Ayers and Dohrn in McDonnell's murder. Ayers and Dohrn have a relationship -- both professional and otherwise -- with President Barack Obama.
