PUMAS, Democrats, Independents, and Republicans all joined forces to express their outrage against voter registration fraud, and the blatant lack of responsibility and accountability from A.C.O.R.N. to tax-paying American citizens.
On 10-29-08 at 2:00 p.m.,
twenty members of these groups gathered in unison on a cool Wednesday afternoon
in front of the A.C.O.R.N. Office in Charlotte, N.C.
Signs reflecting such sayings as “One Person, One Vote” were displayed by these concerned citizens as they demonstrated for the protection of their most precious American possession: their vote!
The demonstration was peaceful while police patrolled the area. Every few minutes, three to four people from the Acorn office would emerge to look at the groups, and in one instance, took pictures of them to place on “Flicker”.
No instances of hostility were noted from the demonstrators or ACORN workers, though two men from the office complex did approach the protestors midway through the event to inquire who was sponsoring the demonstration. They were told the demonstration was organized by “Charlotte Front and Center” in conjunction with other concerned voters.
The event was requested by a concerned citizen who came to “Charlotte Front and Center” ( known for saying “NO DEAL”) by asking this PUMA Group for help in organizing the event. They deemed his concern to be widespread, and the PUMAS were honored to have participated with such a fine group of American Citizens who in this case happen to live and reside in Charlotte, N.C.
