A week after Barack Obama was elected, political analysts are wasting no time talking about the next presidential election. One name they're throwing around is Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal.
In the past week he's made several appearances on political talk shows and you can't go on the internet without seeing his name with "2012" next to it. So KATC asked Bobby Jindal straight up if he had plans to make a run for the White House.
"Absolutely not, but I am flattered," said Governor Jindal.
Although Governor Jindal says no, KATC's political analyst, Pearson Cross, sees it differently.
" Barack Obama hasn't even been sworn in yet so it wouldn't look good if Jindal announced he was running for President. He's not going to say he running now. He's playing it smart and building a platform," said Pearson Clark.
Jindal is making a trip to Iowa next week to speak at two events. He says as an ambassador for the State of Louisiana but several political analysts say campaigning for 2012 starts next week in Iowa.
