Catholics have always been accused by many for not using their Bibles, but I can't agree entirely with that. In fact, I feel as though Rev.Wright used my favorite childhood Biblical verse for political purposes this past Sunday. The verse is a passage the nuns would tell you to use if a Protestant challenged you on belonging to the "One True Faith", which of course was the Catholic Church...The Church. The proof was with St.Peter. We were told this by millions of nuns. I did use the verse, many times, though I never made any conversions, I was able to stand my ground. Catholics were a lot scarcer in the South and we needed ammunition. So if some Baptist came up to you and said, "Show me where in the Bible it says only Catholics are going to Heaven", you would then shoot back, "Jesus said to Peter, "Peter, upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it." So according to the nuns teachings, we got our first Pope and the one and only Church.

Wright insisted this weekend that President-elect Obama made a "bad decision" in distancing himself from Wright — and Trinity — but blames the media: The hatred of the media and the haters in politics may have caused him to distance himself from us, but the love of Christ will never allow me to distance myself from him." We’re sure Obama’s thrilled...Continued
