Lessons learned. Obama and his operations are tech savvy and left Hillary Clinton's campaign and the McCain team wanting in this area...so wanting.
Obama has more than 1 million MySpace "friends" and more than 3.7 million "supporters" on his officialFacebook page -- some 700,000 more than when he was elected in November. His campaign also has a database of almost 13 million supporters and their e-mail addresses." End Quote from CNN
Though Obama staffers are no longer posting to Facebook, their main line of communication with supporters will be through "You Tube" and 'Change gov." . For the first time, Obama supporters will be communicating back to Obama with questions and concerns.
Obama has selected Va. Gov. Tim Kaine to head the Democratic National Committee. The idea is for Kaine to model the party after his own grass-roots campaign . No doubt, the party will be wired as Obama clones his campaign. It will be a different party.
The first instance of this Presidential live communication will begin as Americans watch (as CNN's Brandon Griggs describes it) "proclaimed the President" on the internet.
What Obama and his operation realize is this: He can control the communication and information going to the public without having to rely on the media. Sarah Palin or any other opposing rival to Obama would find this an excellent way to fairly communicate with supporters. Palin would be able to by-pass the MSM, and she would have an unfriendly medium out of the way. There is always the threat of control and abuse of information as well. That is what is so upsetting about journalism today. The American public cannot rely on the media due to bias. Truth must be searched and weighed heavily. Rivals and their supporters will need to organize now. It is all happening on-line...TRedwine
