Talk Up to The Super Delegates and the DNC

Watch the counter to Convention and take action.

There is a possibility to push Hillary over the top. It will take some perseverance and persuasion on our part.  We need to win over 175 Super Delegates, keep the momentum up with the committed delegates and let the undecided delegates know that we want Hillary Clinton as President. There are several postings on our ActionPlease page that you can use, also we have contact lists by state. Here is the plan:

• Contact Super delegates let them know that you still support Hillary and expect them to do the right thing.
• Contact the DNC officers and let them know that you expect them to do the right thing by keeping Hillary on the roll call vote.

It looks as if we are all falling down on the job as I got this note in my email as was saddened that some Super Delegates think that we are giving up

There are things working in our favor, Obama's FISA vote and statements on ending the Iraq War are eroding confidence in some of the groups that have supported his candidacy based upon what they thought his stand was on these issues. As I write this, I am listening to CNN pundits speaking about Obama flip flopping.

Please call the DNC, 1-202-863-8000, and let them know your feelings about their failure to defend Hillary Clinton and her supporters against the misogynistic press. One of our members, Louann, called and noted they seemed very nervous and were being inundated with calls from all over the nation from Hillary Supporters. They tried to blame it on the media. As Louann pointed out, they were just as guilty for not expressing any outrage. As you know, Dean can scream when he wants to. It is our contention that the DNC, Super Delegates, and other party leaders strong- armed the Clinton Campaign, and selected rather than elected the presumptive nominee, Barack Obama.  Operation "Hell Hath No Fury..." also maintains, in going forward with this project, that the DNC and party leaders at no time objected to the vile and venomous treatment of Hillary Clinton and her supporters by the media and Obama Campaign. In short, we have chosen to address our objections.

Democratic Party elders who hoped the emergence of a presidential nominee would end the bitter divisions of the primary race got a startling reality check Wednesday.

One day after Barack Obama clinched the nomination, supporters loyal to Hillary Clinton kept up the fight and in some cases antagonized Obama and his campaign.

Even as more than a dozen superdelegates drifted to the Illinois senator Wednesday, Clinton backers flooded the office of one Obama supporter on Capitol Hill with threatening calls and some urged other Clinton-ites to shift their support to presumptive GOP nominee John McCain.

Meanwhile, bloggers on Obama’s Web page and major liberal Web sites threw charges and slurs at Clinton for refusing to concede the race Tuesday night in New York City.

In all your coverage about the election, why is it that this information is NEVER your top headlines.  You want to know why Hillary is still in the race?  Take a look at this information...she's obviously in the race because she is the most popular candidate in the general election and the MOST likely to win the presidency.  Hillary isn't staying in the race for her, as all you do is try to push her out, call her names and for the last three months over analyze why she is still running. If, after looking at this information, you still can't figure out why she's in the race, then I'd say there is a problem with you, not her, not those of us who want her to be our next President.  At some point, we'd think you would actually report the fact that the most popular candidate in the race is also the one that the media and the party are discounting.  At what point does the people's voice ring louder than that of the machine?

*Today's Gallup tracking poll finds Hillary leading Sen. McCain by 3 points, while Sen. Obama trails the Republican by 3.

*The Rasmussen tracking poll shows Hillary beating Sen. McCain by 4 points, while Sen. Obama trailed by 3.

*The Newsweek poll released over the weekend also found Hillary topping Sen. McCain by 4 points, while Sen. Obama tied the Republican.

***These numbers speak to the breadth and durability of Hillary's appeal in the broader electorate. She is strong nationally, as well as strong in the key battleground states that are likely to decide the general election.

*A new poll in Kentucky shows a stunning spread. Hillary is beating Sen. McCain by 9 points and Sen. Obama is losing by 25.  Polls in Ohio , Florida , Pennsylvania and elsewhere consistently show Hillary's advantage in the crucial swing states.

*As primary voting draws to a close and Democrats weigh the importance of various metrics – pledged delegates, popular vote, swing state victories, momentum, etc. – the ability of each candidate to actually win in November must loom larger and larger in our minds. That, after all, is what this nominating process is all about.
