The Italian jury in the Amanda Knox murder trial just released its reasons for finding Knox guilty of the murder of her roommate in Perugia, Italy.
This whole so-called trial and outrageous conviction of an innocent American college student just gets more and more ridiculous. Have you ever heard of a jury creating its own fictional account of what happened at a murder scene, an account that contradicts the prosecution’s sadistic sex fantasy? Have you ever heard of a jury using their self-created fantasy as a rationalization for convicting the accused and giving her 26 years in prison? This is beyond belief.
To start out:
The 427-page report, written by Judge Giancarlo Massei and Assistant Judge Beatrice Cristiani, explains the reasons behind jurors' determination in December that Knox was guilty in the November 2007 stabbing death of exchange student Kercher while the two roomed together in Perugia, Italy.
The report blames "random contingencies" and "the combination of various factors" for Kercher's death.
"It is a crime that happened ... without any planning, without any animosity or rancorous feeling against the victim that in some way could be seen [as] a preparation and predisposition to the crime," it said.
Gee, that’s news to the prosecution, because during the trial:
…prosecutors argued Knox was a resentful American so angry with her British roommate that she exacted revenge during a twisted sex misadventure game at the students' home. They said Knox directed Sollecito and Guede to hold Kercher down as Knox played with a knife before killing her.
Knox’s defense claimed that Guede acted alone and Knox was not home during the attack.
Apparently, there were some creative minds on the jury because they rejected both the prosecution and defense claims and formed their own version of the incident.
You have to read this because I have never in my life heard of a jury just create their own crime theory and then fill it in with a bunch of gory details, none of which have any basis in reality. (Is everyone in Italy a sexual pervert?):
They found Guede the main instigator -- not Knox, as prosecutors hypothesized.
The jurors believed that Guede went into Kercher's room and attempted to have sexual contact with her, but Kercher pushed him away. Knox and Sollecito then came into the room and attempted to help Guede have "his way" with Kercher, the report said. Sollecito held Kercher while Guede fondled her, the report said, but things spiraled out of control.Sollecito poked Kercher with a knife, inflicting one wound measured at 4 cm (1.5 inches), and Knox poked her with a bigger knife after she screamed, inflicting a larger 8-cm (3-inch) wound, jurors found.
"The most plausible hypothesis is that Rudy decided by himself to enter Meredith's room," the report said. "The reaction and refusal of the girl must have been heard by Amanda and Raffaele, who actually were probably disturbed and intervened, given the unfolding of events. They backed Rudy, whom they allowed to enter the house" and ultimately became Kercher's killers because of events that followed, according to the judges.
I ask you, how can this trial be taken seriously?
I sure wish the Hillary Clinton would intervene in this travesty of justice and bring Amanda Knox home.
Click here for a video from ABC news which includes an interview with Amanda’s parents.
I just discovered that I am not the only one calling for a boycott of Italy until Amanda Knox is freed. Donald Trump has also called for a boycott. On his blog, Trump writes:
There is a disturbing injustice surrounding the Amanda Knox case and I think we should boycott Italy until they do the right thing and free Amanda.
Knox was interrogated for over 50 hours in a five day period, and Italian law states that a suspect cannot be interrogated without a lawyer. During part of this interrogation, Amanda Knox did not have a lawyer.
When she returned to prison after her conviction, her fellow prisoners cried in disbelief because they knew she was innocent. They should put the prosecutor in jail, not Amanda Knox. I have little doubt, based on what I saw, that he abused his power and in fact he is already under investigation for abuse of power in an unrelated case. (I would bet, based on what I saw during Amanda’s trial, that he is guilty.) Why don’t they put him in her jail cell and let her go.
What’s really going on over there? Nothing has been made clear -- except that Amanda Knox is now in an Italian prison for perhaps her whole life. Is that the easy solution? One solution is to boycott Italy until they decide to get serious and let her go
Boycott Italy! Free Amanda Knox!
I agree to the main-article. This was and aslong Amanda is in Jail is a choreographic lawscene.
Were I come from we Call the Italiens catmakers cause they f*** around the Globe and especially in Europe like there's no tomorrow.
I follow the Amanda Knox Thing since it started...the italien Police should get real profilers and investigators. I wouldn't Be surprised if their name's stand on the payroll of the mainjudge.
One mistakes follows another.
Amanda should get a fair trail with a Jury without sexfantasies and "do it yourselve" versions of the murder.
We work hard to BOYCOTT this brainless, fairless, asshole-Country also known As Italy.
*cabs will no longer drive italian tourists.
*Shops will no longer sail italian products.
* etc
it has to Start somewhere, It has to Start somehow
WHAT BETTER PLACE THEN HERE, WHAT BETTER TIME THAN NOW.
Boycott italy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The evidence against Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito is overwhelming.
Amanda Knox’s DNA was found on:
1. On the double DNA knife and a number of independent forensic experts - Dr. Patrizia Stefanoni, Dr. Renato Biondo and Professor Francesca Torricelli - categorically stated that Meredith’s DNA was on the blade.
2. Mixed with Meredith’s blood on the ledge of the basin.
3. Mixed with Meredith’s blood on the bidet.
4. Mixed with Meredith blood on a box of Q Tip cotton swabs.
5. Mixed with Meredith’s blood in the hallway.
6. Mixed with Meredith’s blood on the floor of Filomena’s room, where the break-in was staged.
7. On Meredith’s bra according to Dr. Stefanoni AND Raffaele Sollecito’s forensic expert, Professor Vinci.
Amanda Knox’s footprints were found set in Meredith’s blood in two places in the hallway of the new wing of the cottage. One print was exiting her own room, and one print was outside Meredith’s room, facing into the room. These bloody footprints were only revealed under luminol.
A woman’s bloody shoeprint, which matched Amanda Knox’s foot size, was found on a pillow under Meredith’s body. The bloody shoeprint was incompatible with Meredith’s shoe size.
Two independent imprint experts categorically excluded the possibility that the bloody footprint on the blue bathmat could belong to Rudy Guede. Lorenzo Rinaldi stated:
“You can see clearly that this bloody footprint on the rug does not belong to Mr. Guede, but you can see that it is compatible with Sollecito.”
The other imprint expert print expert testified that the bloody footprint on the blue bathmat matched the precise characteristics of Sollecito’s foot.
An abundant amount of Raffaele Sollecito's DNA was found on Meredith's bra clasp. Meredith's bra was removed some time after she had been killed and Rudy Guede had fled the scene.
The murder dynamic implicates Knox and Sollecito.
Barbie Nadeau wrote the following:
"Countless forensic experts, including those who performed the autopsies on Kercher's body, have testified that more than one person killed her based on the size and location of her injuries and the fact that she didn't fight back—no hair or skin was found under her fingernails."
Judge Paolo Micheli claimed that Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito knew precise details about Meredith's murder that they could have only known if they were present when she was killed.
Amanda Knox voluntarily admitted that she involved in Meredith's murder in her handwritten note to the police on 6 November 2007. She stated on at least four separate occasions that she was at the cottage when Meredith was killed. She also claimed that Sollecito was at the cottage.
Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito both gave multiple conflicting alibis and lied repeatedly. Their lies were exposed by telephone and computer records, and by CCTV footage. Neither Knox nor Sollecito have credible alibis for the night of the murder despite three attempt each. At the trial, Sollecito refused to corroborate Knox's alibi that she was at his apartment.
Legal expert Stefano Maffei stated the following:
"There were 19 judges who looked at the evidence over the course of two years, faced with decisions on pre-trial detention, review of such detention, committal to trial, judgment on criminal responsibility. They all agreed, at all times, that the evidence was overwhelming."

Look at the seemingly authentic evidence presented by someone calling themselves ”Harry Rag” above. ‘Seemingly,’ because on reflection, the thoughtful reader will realise that it has about as much authenticity as the charlatan (with his pseudonym), who posted it. For example, consider the list of blood and DNA mixtures it cites. It appears to present some pretty damning factual evidence against Amanda. In fact, it is shallow and without substance. And the application of a little logic will prove it.
As Amanda had been living in 7 Via della Pergola for 2 months prior to the murder, the observations on the list describing certain conditions in the cottage at the time of the murder are hardly surprising. What’s more, for all their dramatic declarativeness, they can hardly be understood as describing viable evidence.
Please reconsider this list in light of the fact that this is Amanda’s home:
Meredith Kercher’s blood was found on:
Mixed with Amanda’s DNA on the ledge of the basin. (The one Amanda washed in every day).
Mixed with Amanda’s DNA on the bidet. (The one Amanda washed in every day).
Mixed with Amanda’s DNA on a box of Q Tip cotton swabs. (This box of Q Tips belonged to Amanda, so presumably she had handled the box!!).
Mixed with Amanda’s DNA in the hallway. (The hallway Amanda had to use to get in and out of the cottage every day)
Mixed with Amanda’s DNA on the floor of Filomena’s room, where the break-in was staged.
(Presumably, Amanda ventured into this room to investigate why the door was open and there was broken glass all over the place).
This is the elephant in the room: you might as well look at your wife, husband, brother, sister, or whoever you live with, and wonder why their DNA is mixed with yours in the bathroom and in the hall of your home.
I'll just pick something else too which shows how much this person is wasting your time.
For example, this information from Rag was presented in court in June 2009:
''A woman’s bloody shoeprint, which matched Amanda Knox’s foot size, was found on a pillow under Meredith’s body. The bloody shoeprint was incompatible with Meredith’s shoe size.''
Again, seemingly pretty damning stuff. Yet it is redundant and misleading.
On September 18th, 2009, Francesco Vinci, the forensics expert, testified at Amanda's trial about two vague traces of bloody shoe-prints that were found on a pillow under the victim’s body. While the police had previously suspected that one was a partial print of the bottom of Rudy Guede’s right sneaker – a Nike Outbreak2 – and the other the heel of a smaller shoe, probably a woman’s, Vinci testified that the original assumptions about the marks on the pillow were wrong, and that more thorough analysis carried out subsequently proved conclusively that BOTH prints were from a left shoe, the Nike Outbreak 2 already cited.
To compound the worthlessness of Rag's kind of presentation then, one has only to consider at this point the fact that NONE of the DNA, nor ANY of the other forensic evidence discovered in the murder room, was attributable to Amanda. She simply cannot have been present in the room where and when the murder took place, a fact which has now also been reinforced by the testimony of Mario Alessi.
Thank you for your time.

Thanks John for your response to the Rag...I can't figure out why some people want to believe the impossible and frame Knox without evidence. My understanding from listening to an interview with Knox's parents is that a microscopic piece of dna that purportedly is Knox's was found on the tip of a knife that she would have used for cooking purposes. By the way, never once did Knox say she was involved in the murder.

Puma,
You wrote:
"...a microscopic piece of dna that purportedly is Knox's was found on the tip of a knife that she would have used for cooking purposes."
Amanda Knox's DNA was found on the handle of the knife and Meredith's DNA was found on the blade.
The presence of Meredith's DNA on the blade of the knife was confirmed by Raffaele Sollecito, who claimed on two separate occasions that he had accidentally pricked Meredith's hand whilst cooking. Sollecito's claims, like so many of his claims, are completely untrue. Meredith had never been to his apartment.
Did you notice that John Winters didn't attempt to address Amanda Knox's and Raffaele Sollecito's multiple conflicting alibis and repeated lies or the fact that Knox falsely accused an innocent man of murder?
I should add that Amanda Knox didn't recant her false and malicious allegation against Diya Lumumba the whole time he was in prison despite knowing full well that he was completely innocent.
John Winters forget to mention that Amanda Knox never claimed that she entered Filomena's room. Furthermore, the blood in Filomena's room had been cleaned up. It was revealed by luminol.
You also wrote:
"By the way, never once did Knox say she was involved in the murder."
Really? I suggest you read this sentence from Amanda Knox's confession on 6 November 2007:
"Everything I have said in regards to my involvement in Meredith’s death, even though it is contrasting, are the best truth that I have been able to think." (Amanda Knox, 6 November 2007).
I should point out that Amanda Knox's blood was co-mingled with Meredith's blood in three different places in the bathroom:
"But mixed blood samples were found as well. Specifically, mixed blood of Knox and Kercher was found on the drain of the bidet, on a box of Q-tips sitting on the sink and the sink ledge." (Andrea Vogt, The Seattle Post-Intelligencer).
I'd like to see John Winters explain how Amanda Knox's blood became mixed with Meredith's blood. Bear in mind that Knox effectively dated the blood stains in the bathroom to the night of the murder at the trial when she conceded there was no blood in the bathroom the day before.
Dr. Stefanoni AND Raffaele Sollecito’s forensic expert, Professor Vinci, both claimed that found they found Amanda Knox's DNA on Meredith's bra.

Harry -- we all know Amanda's confession was thrown out. Her interrogation was illegal according to the Italian Supreme Court, and somehow the real recording is nowhere to be found (would have been convenient for the defense to have, don't you think?) while her comments were leaked to the press by the prosecution. This is well known. You should update your cut-and-paste garbage you post everywhere and actually stick with the facts.
The quote you have attributed to Amanda is taken out of context -- it is from an after-the-fact clarification letter, not a confession. She agrees her story is contrasting since the police literally beat it out of her in the illegal interrogation.
Your last statement, about finding Amanda's DNA on Meredith's bra -- originally it was Raffaele's DNA -- which story are you pushing now?
Of course DNA is around -- the bra was kicked around the floor of the crime scene for 47 days picking up all types of junk from the floor THEY LIVED IN.
Posted by: Jason | March 10, 2010 at 03:42 PM
Jason,
Two of Amanda Knox's confessions were ruled inadmissible. However, one of her confessions was accepted as evidence by Judge Massei.
"Evidence: Knox's confession
Who it hurts: Knox
On Nov. 5, 2007, Sollecito was called to the Perugia police station for questioning about Kercher's murder. Knox testified last June that she did not want to be alone, so she accompanied him. During his interrogation, Sollecito admitted to police that he did not know for sure if Knox actually spent the night of the murder at his house, as she had told police earlier. Since Knox was at the police station, the head of the murder squad decided to ask her a few questions. Her interrogation started at about 11 p.m., and, by 5:45 a.m., Knox had told police that she was in the house when Kercher died—and that Patrick Lumumba, the owner of the nightclub where she worked, was the assailant. She even described Kercher's screams. She, Sollecito, and Lumumba were arrested. The next day, Knox wrote a five-page memorandum reiterating everything she said the night before. But since there was no lawyer present during her interrogation—and so far no one has produced an audiotape of the interrogation—Knox's attorneys were able to have her verbal confession thrown out of evidence. The five-page memorandum still holds." (Barbie Nadeau, Newsweek).
You weren't present when Amanda Knox was questioned, so you don't know that "the police literally beat it out of her". All the witnesses who were actually present, including her own interpreter, testified under oath that Amanda Knox was treated well and that she wasn't hit.
The judges and jury had to decide whether to believe the corroborative testimony of numerous upstanding witnesses or the word of a compulsive liar who has lied repeatedly. It would have been a very easy decision to make.
Raffaele Sollecito's, Rudy Guede's and Amanda Knox's DNA was found on Meredith's bra. The bra wasn't kicked around for 47 days.
Raffaele Sollecito left an abundant amount of his DNA (over 200 cells) on the bra clasp. The cottage was sealed the whole time, so contamination was impossible. DNA does not fly around the room.
Posted by: Harry Rag | March 10, 2010 at 04:04 PM
Harry, your comments about the bra clasp are simply false. Folks, let's not have this be a debate between me and Harry. It's a waste of your time to read it, and my time to write it. Look at this site:
http://injusticeinperugia.org/TheBraClasp.html
for more information on the bra and view the police videos of how contamination did happen.
Harry -- yes, I wasn't there at the interrogation. Neither were you. Since the video of it was miraculously and inconveniently "misplaced" no one will ever know. Is it totally incomprehensible to you that Mignini and his police -- specially trained to interrogate members of the mafia and other hardened criminals, would be a bit "over the edge" with Amanda? Do you really want to argue that point?
Her interpreter, by the way, wasn't even there for the beginning of the interogation, so your claim on what the interpreter said is irrelevent.
Finally - Amanda's claims during the interogation.
Again, folks, let's look at a website that has good details on it beyond Harry's "facts."
http://injusticeinperugia.org/TheInterrogation.html
On that page also includes the translation of Amanda's clarification of what she was forced to say during the interrogation, plus a recording of her own description of it.
Let's not continue to debate Harry's points. Let's learn the facts.
